DIY Short Courses

“I’d like to renovate my house, but I can’t afford a professional builder.” Does this sound familiar? Whether you wish to improve your DIY skills or learn a new skill, one of my DIY Short Courses is just what you need. And best of all, you’ll receive on-the-job training, because you get to learn the skills needed on the actual renovation task.

You can add to the value of your home by renovating and repairing it. But getting hold of a reliable handyman or builder is not easy or cheap. As an owner builder you can control the renovation project and gain the satisfaction of knowing that you've done a lot of the work yourself. In the process, you will also acquire useful new skills and knowledge.

You can do a DIY Short Course on your own, or with a partner. You’re also welcome to team up with a neighbour to tackle a new driveway, dividing wall, or roof repairs. I believe that couples make formidable renovation teams, because they invest not only their money, but also their time, sweat and tears in renovation jobs.

A DIY Short Course also makes a great gift, especially to young adults who might soon leave the nest.

While a DIY Short Course won’t teach you everything there is to know about tiling, for example, it will enable you to replace broken tiles, or tile a room with confidence.

Here are some of the questions I’m often asked, with my answers. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, just email or call me.

Which courses do you offer?
